This painting was created with R&F oil sticks, a rich blend of pure pigment, linseed oil, and cold wax that glides onto the canvas in bold, unblended strokes. The color holds its depth, the texture remains alive, and every mark carries the energy of its making. It’s gallery-wrapped and ready to hang, though you can frame it if you like. I am happy to provide framing recommendations.

This Peaceful Paths Collection of work is unified not just in subject but in the colors that bring it to life. I have chosen a limited, vibrant palette, intentionally minimizing color mixing to preserve the purity of each hue. Rather than breaking up color fields, I have focused on playing with chromatic values—using the intensity of color itself to create depth, atmosphere, and movement within each landscape.

The choice of oil pastels and oil paint sticks has allowed for a direct and immediate application of color, embracing a spontaneous, joyful energy in each mark. These materials are new to me, and in learning them, I have found a sense of play and discovery, letting color lead the way. This process has been an exploration of unfiltered expression, where joy is not just the subject but also the method.
